As 2023 draws to a close, it is an especially poignant time to pause and re examine the Kwanzaa principles. In fact, all 7 tenets are profound principles for all humans to live by. Kuchichagulia (self – determination) is one of my favorites, because it speaks to how much we craft, fashion and author our own personal journey, or the dash if you will. Before you were formed in your mothers’ womb, the Creator knew you, knew the Divine purpose for your life. Your Dash is your opportunity to self actualize. Your one Job in life, is to discover the One True Love and pass it on before you pass on.
