My grandchica and me have been through a lot together. Tears, Fears, Dress Up, Dressing downs, Disappointment, Ups and downs….you know the old saying from my own Grandma Bernice….’Nuh Life Journey Ms P’ ( with the splayed fingers, side eye and sigh). So out of nowhere, grandkin asked me the other day for a Bible. She stopped me in my pious tracks. I realized that I was remiss. Through thick and thin, I had neglected to give her one to help her make sense of sin. I found my old one, dusted it off, thumped through it and looked within. This is the Word in Isaiah 14 that came at me like a gale force wind, kicking up desert sands in my eyes. I will just sit this down right here. Nary a word will I subtract from or add to it. I’ll leave it to you dear reader as always to do the heavy lifting.
As for my poor grandkin, I’ll let her know that her poor glamma like Isaiah 35 is now dealing with weeping with the world ailment, “weak hands and knees” (verse 3), a “fearful heart” (verse 4), unverified vision and hearing (verse 5), and the Ubiquitous Overcoming of Speechlessness Syndrome … Silent tongue (verse 6).
I’ll just let my ‘poor precious’ and anyone else’s ‘poor precious’ for that matter, know that…
“This here Bible: It’s all inside!”
I’ll get back to her on Isaiah 14 as soon as the Bible scholars or a Wise Grown up Woman or Man or the Holy Spirit gives me clarity.

Isaiah 35 excerpt
But only the redeemed will walk there,
10 and those the Lord has rescued will return.
They will enter Zion with singing;
everlasting joy will crown their heads.
Gladness and joy will overtake them,
and sorrow and sighing will flee away.
NOTE: It’s the fleeing away of the ‘sighing’ that I am most looking forward to!
Until next time, tread placidly and good …
….and remember we get just one degge degge round. One Dash to Make A Difference in this world.
